Hit Points

Hit points are a rating of your characters overall health
status. It is usually displayed as current/maximum. When
you get hit by creatures or spells you might lose current
hit points. Items can add to your maximum hit points and
items along with several other things can make you continually
lose hit points, such as starving. To view your current
and maximum hit points, use the attributes command.
