Lances

The lance is a long piercing weapon of about twelve to fourteen feet in
length. It is usually wielded by footmen and cavalry. The best way to
imagine a lance is a fourteen foot spike with a handle. It is designed to
be held close to the bottom which gives a big distance between you and your
target.
