Put powder bowl

You carefully sprinkle some black powder in a mixing bowl.

Mix bowl

- You begin mixing the bowl carefully.
- Suddenly something goes wrong and explodes in your hands!

-300hp.

Tee hee hee.

Apply explosive Vulsin

- Without detection you apply some explosives on Vulsin
- Noticing something amiss with your behaviour Vulsin looks at you oddly.
-- Looking down at your side you see Guildus trying to rub something onto you.

Detonate explosive Vulsin

- You light the explosive placed on Vulsin and back away quickly as half of him explodes!

-600hp

Or we could go along with strapping a belt of dynomite around ourselves and going kamikaze. Explosives then could be classified to that of an area spell to the degree of how powerful a mixture you had concocted. A little to cause some damage and startle the PC/NPC or item to that of entirely blowing something up causing massive damage. Granted the bigger the boom, the bigger the chances it would go boom in your hands.

The Guildinator

Heheh

Anyways, though I know this thread was heading towards explosives, and was started with the idea of lock boxes........

Of the multiple currencies, I do and dont like the idea. I like the idea since when we run around and say kill a binkbeyer and we would get perhaps.....6 gold.....GOLD ON A BINKBEYER!!!!

So perhaps you loot the binkbeyer and you get 6 copper, that makes a bit more sense.

Could have the typical turien metal currencies:

100 copper coins = 1 silver coin
100 silver coins = 1 gold coin
100 gold coins = 1 mithril coin
100 mithril coins = 1 adamantite coin

So um yeah if my calculations are correct 1 adamantite coin = 100,000,000 copper?

Vendors could auto calculate such, players could go hunting and come back with say:

1146 copper coins, 234 silver coins, 112 gold coins, 12 mithril coins

run to the bank

player types: exchange 1100 copper for silver
system auto gives the banker 1100 copper, banker auto gives the player 11 silver

player types: exchange 200 silver for gold
system auto gives the banker 200 silver, banker auto gives the player 2 gold

A nice, complete automated currency exchange system. This way players wouldn't have to run around with 10000 gold coins, insted hey look I have 1 adamantium coin. Wow my encumbrance dropped :)

Otherwise, I'm happy with gold and the current system. I just make alot of trips to the bank.
Anyways happy mudding,
Syl.

Adding to Sol's post...

I think if we go with multiple currencies again... I definitely think we should have a "deposit all" command added.

Otherwise typing:

depo 1345 copper coins
depo 124 silver coins
depo 450 gold coins

Et cetera gets a little tedious.

>depo all

Ferth counts your deposit.
Ferth says, 'There were 1345 copper coins, 124 silver coins and 450 gold coins.'
