While I was in class one day, I decided that I wanted to roll a character, maybe keep him if I took a fancy to him. I rolled, did some homework, rolled, did a little more homework, and finally found a set of stats that looked good. They became a paladin. An
evil
paladin. So I look at my skills, spells, and profs, and a couple of things jump out at me: two spells labeled "dispel evil" and "protection from evil". While I recognize that the traditional paladin will need these spells, mine, quite frankly, won't. What I think would be nice, if someone had the time, energy, etc. would be to possibly have something like an "Alignment Suite" of spells. Something like, if you're evil aligned, replacing those spells with "dispel good" and "protection from good" spells or something. Iunno what neutral characters would do. Maybe get option on either/or. I don't know too much about DL, not having the years of playing experience other have, but maybe clerics either have this system or could benefit from it as well?
Alternatively, the staff could just alter the paladin schema, making it so only good paladins could be rolled. But really, what's the fun in that?
EDIT: Looking at the list, bless could map pretty easily to curse, but I think there's already a curse spell, so Iunno if that'll work.
