Unfortunately, this post has to be kept short due to limited time on my part, but, here's the idea.

As far as the ability to repair items, et cetera, I believe that the idea is a good one, it just needs tweaking, as Nezmar said.

My thoughts on it are something like this: Base it more on what the item is made from.

Maybe adamantium can be repaired something like 20 times before it can't be fixed anymore... Maybe iron can only be repaired 10 times. Et cetera.

I haven't the time to go into too much, but, it's something to think about.

Instead of an item becoming completely unrepairable in one go maybe it could happen in steps?
If the item crosses the amount of times it could be repaired its max condition drops one level and resets to repeat.
i.e. after 20 repairs your breastplate can only be repaired to 'good' condition, after another 20 it can only get up to 'okay' and so on.

If ore won't be added into the game, which I feel is a totally agreeable way to fix items that get to a certain mark... If ore can't be added, then I think the above idea is great and seems to be a reasonable way to appease more people. Sure it'll still crap out sooner or later, but you've got a much longer time for it to do so. It should be easy to adjust the hp on items so that they will all hit certain hp marks instead of going from excellent to falling apart in one crush.

Good Idea, gets my vote.

Jorlain's idea (and more) is part of the original code.

I kind of like a combination of the two ideas. You can fix it X times, after that, you've got to get ore (or leather/wood/etc) to make it repairable again, but you can only do that a limited number of times, because each time you make it repairable again, the item becomes a little less sturdy (so as to eventually become completely unrepairable, as the new code had done).

This is probably quite some time off at this point, as adding mining, etc. will take quite a bit of work (we'll get there though -- the more people we get working on macros the faster we'll get there). I do appreciate everyone's thoughts on the subject. Thanks for the input!

Best regards,

--Nezmar
