I have been thinking that, even though Bojie did an amazing job, we need a new flyer. Why not a new contest, and raise the bar a little bit. Add choices of like a personalized piece of equipment, be it restrung or unique, levels, something different. We need a little spice added into Distant Lands while we wait for the codes to come in.

And with so many artistic people we have running around here, why don't we start running monthly drawing contests of something relating to Distant Lands. It's just an idea, maybe brought out in the future once our player base gets a bit bigger. This game has so much potential.

Finally, why don't we have some RP based arenas, set different rules, giving it much more of a challenge, or much more of a fair fight. OR, why not bring back the Turien Games?? With all of these fresh avatars wanting to prove their worth, and make a name, it might bring a burst of fresh new faces.

Think about it, it could be worthwhile

With the prior DL Flyer contest we did not get many
entries. In fact, only one person bothered to send
in entries. If there is enough interest expressed I
would be glad to put together a 'Second Annual DL Flyer
Contest' or something like that.

I would like to hear thoughts on what sort of prizes
would be truly liked for this. Perhaps we can give
a small something to anyone who enters as well as
a third, second and first place winners. Think that
would motivate people at least to enter this time?

my thoughts myrima, that that's enough of a reason for people to put in some flyers. I'm affraid I'll be sitting this contest out though, for I have neither drawing abilities or even the know-how to scan it to a computer. And I'm know a few of you smartie pants are going just take a picture of it and post that. The only thing I can even over for this contest guys is this.
I'm sure all of you can detail some bubble letters and then draw a descent image of your character in
a 1/4 horizontal section of a regular blank white
printer page.

I say each of you take the standar DL frame and
posistion you character above/below, to the left/right of it and send it in for the fun of it all.

not be stingy. MPP's obviously do it. lets not award those to a winner, lets award a mpp for every entry that gets five votes eventually from the entire forums base.
Alrighty.
If a person recieves an overal keeper for one of several flyers no previously entered pictures may be presented twice, thus no bojie you may not get rewarded for what you've already one.

But a winner of a really well liked flyer gets this package.
1 no color restring
1 apple of doom - actually teleports, blinds, and poisons all at the same time.
1 apple of doubt - prank -1 con, or pro +1 con
1 con apple
1 cookie of that eats and recalls to rocksport
, with much thought, that was actually a fair package for a good entry.
Maybe we should define votes for an entry if this is officialy started in another box. Any entry that gets 12 votes, gets the main prize.

There shouldn't be runner ups, the mpps should keep then trying if they didn't suceed.
But say no max entry, but will not be rewarded for hopeless artistic expression if abused after 5 entries. Say if someone did give it their best in a detailed flyer, after every 3 entries award the 3rd as a 2 mpp.
