Ok, so just my opinion :)

I think if mages and clerics get bash and two handed swords at upper levels...
warriors/barbarians melee fighters honestly deserve to be able to cast sanctuary at those upper levels as well

or maybe warriors could have sanc and barbarians could have monsum sevens, as warriors have more cleric affiliation and barbarians have a more druid affiliation. I know there aren't any warriors/barbarians up in that range at the moment, but i think those spells are deserved :) as lesser avatar doesn't really give any major perks to building strength on a warrior/barb.

This is coming from a cleric point of view so i think its not biased :) Just hoping for game balance.

Also... are there any quests in the nearby horizon? I know staff is sparing and limited, but this is the forum for feedback on the game... and my feedback is the game is getting quite boring, repetitive, tedious, and growth-less without quests :( it sucks waiting 6 months or more for them everytime. Everytime this limbo comes along where the game is questless for such a long time I always find myself in a continual struggle deciding whether or not to just stop playing altogether, so far i always come back :) But the conversations about how dry the game is getting with fellow players is getting to be a daily conversation and ya, just me feedback, i hope there's a quest soon :)

It's a fair topic to bring up. I do wish we had more Staff and Quests available -- and I do believe we will at some point in the not too distant future (the code is ready for it). Right now a number of us (Staff) are involved in various significant life matters that require our time.

Best regards,

Thanks for the prompt reply! Totally understandable about staffers having real life commitments, of course that's always gotta come first. What about the old school method of roleplaying for 150+ hours for those 70-80 MPPs to level? I know I would be roleplaying a LOT if that were the case. or instead a little upgrade by using 70-80 MPPs to redeem unlocking a set of 5-10 mini tasks that you complete to progress to the next avatar level. and perhaps only one of these mini tasks can be done per day so that it still takes a week+ of task completing and dragon slaying and whatnot even after you've collected all those MPPs... i'll be honest, handing over 67 MPPs and being handed a level wasn't the funnest way to progress since you didn't really feel accomplishment like completing a quest. I think completing a moderate set of tasks (five to ten i think is fair) that are class/alignment based would be a very satisfying way to achieve the next avatar level and the 70MPPs would create sufficient gap to stop people from gaining avatar levels overly quickly... but honestly, in my opinion, if a player plays say 20 hours in a week, while another player plays 1 hour a week, and they're both ready to quest, why should they quest at the same time and get the level at the same time when the 20 hour player has clearly put in a lot more time? Shouldn't more time playing show better results?

By the way, if you like the class/alignment based task idea... there's 14 classes, i have more than enough time, if you don't have the staff power for it, i would be HAPPY to write them myself :) Let me know

I do really agree with the mpp system for Avatar levels i mean it would make people rp more and also make our player base constant, As Arioka said players just stop playing when they are waiting for a quest so giving them a way to keep advancing would maybe also increase our player base as well as add in some great rp, but the task thing even though it is a great idea again may come down to staff time and that could just put us back to where we started, and i understand we do still need to make it hard so why not make it like this 90 mpps for a hero level 120 for lesser lord 170 for lord etc and still maybe have the option of questing when a quest comes. i know rping for 170 mpps would make me feel that i had deserved a avatar level and i would have some great fun along the way and for those who do not have time to rp they can just wait for a Staff run avatar quest.

Just an idea

Divided!
I've never understood how you guys could all get bored.
Particularly why everyone left when they hit top level for that rank, I mean wern't we supposed to have enjoyed what the game had given us then? As far as the whole quest bracket and the banishment of the three month rule. We kinda chose that ourselves *slaps self on wrist*. They earnestly did for a long while try to make it a minimal of atleast one quest per month.
You've done and hit the nail on the head folks. Yeah people are getting bored.
While doing so they've lacked the ability to sign in for a while each day and play.
Suppose that means we're losing players, but then agian it's just "us" hanging around then too.
I love us, we rock.
Really do feel for you guys know that you've managed to just loose sudden interest.
I'd really hoped that our first biggie was going to be the boredom of framiliar zones, how routine our simulated combat had gotten, or maybe even bored with something much simpler, not just showing up period.
For a long while, I wanted to practice self preservation like the smart ones of us.

Yet you guys tell me that making a quest level and the RP for 180 Mpps is entirely going to make it feel worth the entire level.
And I assure you it will. But then again guys, you're the ones telling me RP is so boring when you're solo. So tell me now, because it involves some gain you'll feel it's worth dawning that red flag.
With all my heart, I just wanted to let Mahrah die and just move on.
The whoami makes it difficult to waste all those afternoons and late nights for something like an obstacle.

As mentioned, right now I know there are those of you capable of sustaining all the way to avatar without
breaking a sweat with the constution you started with. Folks, I'm like a few of us and managed to take
something I earnestly poured some time into down to two constituional points.
Theres alot of us whom suffer this threat. repeatedly.
For a while, I just got by on playing the many others I own.
They were enough, and just rarely brining him out for bursts was enjoyable.

One day, I'll spell out all of the changes that have happened here for those that tell me,
They should just go back to the code before the pwipe, not alots change it wouldn't be that difficult.
Alot of small things combined equals one huge difference.

Like Nezmar said and delivered, he thought remaking Mpps on a timer would be useful.
they made a slightly modified roleplay strict.
Now do the math exactly and you'll average about 2oo mpps, to go from 2 to 15 opting to
buy the points of constitutional at the lost redemption ratio.
Just assuming we make an mpp 1 hour, see how many days that is.
Then type in whoami and make a fraction to that. Actually Rp'ing that much time,
is going to be a significant few months of your life.
I say this because, I know those of you that dare to rush things.

For a while, I wasn't pretty certain that my level of roleplay was exquisite enough to start using strict mode and gain Mpps.
Because it is a privledge that they even thought about giving us a form to gain mpps without involvement or coordination of staff. They just handed us a huge responsibility and just as sure revoke it when we start to misuse it for the points rather than roleplay.
That's something that crosses my mind everytime I log in these days to maybe take a chunk out of that massive collumn of time just waiting to be filled. As well trying something new for the storyline and in some cases connected to pervious blogs.

I know nothing adds up for some of you, too much to remember and get the point.
Personally, I remember something in forums about macros making task like quests proposal that would allow staffless quest if you will.
Something that usually if promised by that awful Nezmar, then will usually someday be there for us.

Hope this dosn't seem like a personal attack against anyone, because everyones dearly loved for how they react.
I'm glad your sorely dissapointed if you will, it brings out the nature of why you return this cherised website.
Would love to see your MPP quest thought of avatar level put back, it would infact incrase most peoples
actual imput and play, sadly that's the truth with you guys.

Funny though you'll get the last laugh.
I'm the one who recently decided that something like death can be cheated.
And if one person just invests enough time properly to the new channel of the game,
then rest assured your hard work does pay off.
I for one say thank you folks up there, for everything.
That addition you added wont be taken for granted, just like all the other subtle changes.
Some folks say the place is boring and is all ever the same.
You just havn't paid attention properly, because everywhere you look theres something.

Hope you've all got something worthwhile to think about.
Be nice if you'd all just create time to just show up a little more often.
That's how we grow, together. Seperate we're just a bunch of weeds spread out in a meadow.

;) meowsout
