Forget the 2 month "rule". Consider the 2 month "rule" hereby obliterated by my powerful keystrokes. Now, that said, players get to quest based upon Staff availability to create and run quests, player party requirements of the quest being run by Staff and the order in which the players became ready for quest. Period. In short, the rule is -- you quest when we have the time to run a quest for you.

In a previous version, we completely did away with the requirements to quest. Players complained that it was too easy to become an avatar. As previously stated, quests require a lot of work from the Staff. A LOT of work has been done to help automate quests and still more is in the works. We firmly believe that having a questing requirement to achieve specific Avatar levels is a good idea. We also firmly believe that if we had a bigger player base, we'd have a bigger staff and there would generally be more features of the game in use for all to enjoy.

It is not about Staff vs. Players or even Players vs. Players ... it is about building a fun and enjoyable gaming community. Do your part. Vote. Invite friends to play. Go post flyers in a local hobby shop. The quest system is built to handle a LOT more than it is currently used. The Staff we currently have are working feverishly to improve a whole host of different aspects of the game, finding responsible individuals who understand the game and have the time to run quests for you is not easy. :( It is possible though, or we wouldn't have quests or a quest editor to begin with! :)

Best regards to all,

--Nezmar

Hmm, I just have an idea. Why not do it based in an MPP system. Instead of having time limit, why don't we say they have to send in at 10 MPPs per rank of avatar? We need to encourage Avatar RPing. But then we would also need some stuff that are on your 'todo' list to get done for maybe some more ways to get MPPs.
