throughout my adventures in the land which are distant i've noticed that some spells don't have help files. I am simply wondering is this intentional i.e. you aren't supposed to know what it does unless you can cast it. just curious, life gate comes to mind. i haven't the foggiest what this spell does and i've even had it cast on me. there are others anyways they tend to be on the powerful side or at least higher leveled so ya there ya go. and that is it....

I was wondering too why there isn't a place
where players could submit their own definition
of the spell and then game creator could pick
the one that's most suitable/correct.
Anyway, i'll try answer the question...life gate is
a short lasting spell that has the potential to save
a person's life just as they are about to die.
Huge rift opens and swallows them and they end
up in the 'enterance to DL' room, on 1 hp.
Person doesn't lose any con/items, but spell doesn't
work 100%, i'd say more like about 40% of the time
it's successful. I'm guessing it's dependant on
affecting persons natural luck.
I'm sure if there was an actual help file on that
spell that we'd see few more illusionists around.
